The WMPF hosts a conference every other year where CEOs and business leaders are invited to listen, engage and vote on priorities for the WMPF to share and advocate in the legislature. At our most recent conference in 2018 the top priorities were the following:
- Support an A-F grading model for our K-12 schools to ensure quality and accountability in K-12 education.
- Reform our Petition/Ballot process to ensure state-wide representation on issues that require a state-wide vote.
- Continue to push for reform in our state and local governments to address their unfunded liabilities
Following the conference, the WMPF Executive Committee set forth an aggressive agenda and succeeded in fulfilling these priorities as well as gaining needed reforms to minimum wage and paid sick leave legislation.
