Mackinac Island — While members and guests of the Detroit Regional Chamber are here having cocktails and conversation at the Grand Hotel, a group of their peers are plotting to eat their lunch, and that of other business organizations.

The West Michigan Policy Forum hired its first-ever chief executive, is recruiting members for the first time in southeastern Michigan and soon will add board members from that part of the state.
