The West Michigan Policy Forum is a bastion of common sense policy recommendations, and hopefully will gain more influence in Lansing now that Republicans have broken the Democratic trifecta by winning control of the state House. Perhaps it can use it to derail Gov. Whitmer’s proposal to fund road repairs with higher taxes on businesses. The forum’s chair, John Kennedy, is warning against any road plan that makes it more expensive to commute, work or create jobs in Michigan.
